Sai Masu will not have the services of four players when they take on the Seasiders in Wednesday’s quarter final match in Ilorin
Kano Pillars will be without four of their regular players when they take on Warri Wolves in one of the quarter final matches of the Federation Cup on Wednesday.
The four players who will miss the match include Gambo Mohammed, Nazifi Armani, Shehu Shagari and Umar Zango. The game which takes place on Wednesday in Ilorin will see the two Premier League club sides entertain football fans in Ilorin. Pillars coach, Baba Ganaru told Goal that they will try and approach the game to win, even though they will not have the quartet in action. “The four players did not travel with us because they are injured. They are nursing various degrees of injury and there is no need to aggravate the injuries by risking them in the game,” said Ganaru. “We have played in about eight games without this set of players, so we are used to not having them in action. “But that will not disrupt the flow of our game because we are in Ilorin to win and qualify for the semi finals of the Federation Cup. “Warri Wolves are a strong side. I respect them because of what they have done this season. But I am confident that my players will give me what I want from the game. “It will be tough but I am optimistic that we will get the job done,” Ganaru said. Kano Pillars placed fourth last year after losing to Prime on penalties in the third place match as they failed in their bid to complete a double.
